The Minnesota Green Chemistry Forum is
pleased to present their fifth annual conference, The Midwest Bioeconomy and
Safer Products Summit: Regional Innovations Solving Global Problems, at the
Minneapolis Central Library on Thursday, February 19th, 2015 from 8 am - 4:30 pm.
The Midwest Bioeconomy and Safer Product Summit will examine green chemistry, innovation and sustainability initiatives
and will provide lessons learned from market pioneers on getting ahead of the
regulatory curve via product and brand innovation and from business
entrepreneurs on commercializing biobased chemical production. The Summit will
also provide the networking necessary to thrive in this new era of consumer
goods and will bring together academics and legislators with nationally
recognized consumer brands, manufacturers, retailers, regulators and green
chemistry experts to provide the timeliest information on the rapidly evolving
state, federal and international chemical legislation landscape.
Kate Heiny, Director of Corporate Social
Responsibility at Target will deliver a keynote address on the full story of
safer products and green alternatives along the supply chain. She will also
discuss how companies are driving changes to consumer product safety by
building consumer awareness through initiatives like Target's new Sustainable
Product Standard.
