Summer Internship with Breakthrough Twin Cities

Breakthrough Twin Cities helps motivated students overcome adversity to prepare for college with the support of older students passionate about education. Each year, we seek a diverse group of talented undergraduate and high school students (juniors/seniors) to apply for our paid, nine-week summer teaching fellowship, complete with training and classroom teaching experience. In addition to teaching middle school students from the Saint Paul and Minneapolis Schools, fellows work closely with professional instructional coaches to create lessons and get feedback on their teaching throughout the summer. This fellowship was ranked as one of the TOP TEN SUMMER INTERNSHIPS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS by the Princeton Review.

I love the feeling you get after a class in which you have really taught the kids something.  The sense of satisfaction that is brought by knowing you have touched a child’s life is one words cannot describe.”  - Angela, Breakthrough Teacher

This year's application deadline is Tuesday, February 25th
This opportunity is open to ALL MAJORS!
